:00: Le Début

As a kid, I was obsessed with drawing. Cartoons, heels, whole collections I’d design on paper like I already had a brand.

In high school, I’d get kicked out of class because instead of listening, I was drawing in my agenda. When teachers took the agenda away, I drew on my arms and hands. I couldn’t stop.

Maybe that’s why my shapes still end up on skin.

Then somewhere around sixteen, it went quiet. For five years, the spark just wasn’t there.

Then there was a line.

No plan. No reason. Just a pen and a page, and a line that wanted to keep going.

So I followed it.

For years, the same shapes kept coming back. Every time, a little finer. A little sharper. Like they were teaching me how to draw them.

On the days my mind was loud, I’d draw. The noise would fade, and it would just be me and the lines. A quiet world I could step into whenever I needed it.

I didn’t realize it then, but I wasn’t just drawing shapes. I was finding my way back to that kid. Line by line, the spark was coming back.

Everything KEMMEL is started here.
One line at a time.
