01.01 - 01.02

The starting point
I never showed my sketches to anyone. Drawing was something I did alone, a way to express myself without anyone watching. I never planned on releasing a print collection, but at some point I thought, why not? So when it came time to launch the first two prints, the question was how to show something I’d always kept to myself.

The idea
I didn’t want the prints to feel like products floating on their own. I wanted people to see them next to the person who made them. Putting myself in my images has always been part of my world, so standing beside the prints felt like the most honest way to introduce them.

The set
I wanted nothing to compete with the work. So I kept it simple: candles lit, one big white spotlight in the dark, the prints on the wall and me next to them. The light pulls your eye straight to the lines, and the candles keep it warm and a little strange.

The contacts
I’ve always loved contacts, the freaky ones. Green, blue, light brown, red, pink, white. I wear them at home while I’m cooking or just being me. They’re how I tap into my alter ego, so they were never a question. Red felt right for this drop.

The outfit
I didn’t style an outfit to match the mood. I wore what I wear. That was the point of the whole campaign: nothing had to be forced, because I don’t need to dress up as the prints. I already am them.

The video
The video followed the same thinking. Slow, quiet and a little eerie, so it feels like stepping into the world rather than watching an ad.

01.01 and 01.02 were the first two prints of COLLECTION 01, and the first time I shared these drawings with anyone.
